Say What?!

Why are my skies so cloudy grey?

Perhaps it’s just me, but I am feeling pretty bah-humbug these days. Who knows I may have a low-grade case of the swine flu. Or possibly it could be the recession woes. But whatever it is I’ve got the blues. As the great Ray Charles crooned, when I die there will be no more blues and sorrow left to go round. Okay, so I paraphrased, but you get the picture?
The lack of sunshine in NYC, the war in Iraq, crappy politicians claiming that we the people are not interested in health care because we are more concerned with the economy. Although I find that my medical bills eat up my income, or being in pain with no health insurance makes it damn near impossible to go to work, therefore leaving me with little money and no job. Yup, there is no correlation between financial stability and good health.
Annoyed with the fat self-serving politicians I turn the channel again and what do I find? Some kid is victimizing another kid, or a cop has just killed a kid or some man has just killed yet another woman, or some woman has just killed her child – like the recent case of that horrible woman in NC who was prostituting her 5 year old baby girl or the drunken suicidal mothers in the minivans. Would you really believe me if I told you I don’t watch a lot of news? It’s true though, I don’t and when I do look at the news this is what I find. I mean life sounds pretty dismal when you add it all up. All I want to do these days is nap.
Perhaps my low mood is due to the fact I just spent the remainder of my savings last week on a tooth (#13 to be exact) that needed a root canal – for more than 8 months. Talk about pain. Alas, the tooth is now fixed but all I’ve got left are dust balls in my pockets and bills in the mail. On the up side, I didn’t have to get the tooth pulled. I’ve staved off the day my bright white warrants the nick-name “snagga-tooth.”
To help my blues and perhaps ward off illnesses I’ve been taking my Bikram Yoga class pretty religiously and that is helping a bit. At least for 90 minutes a day I am too hot to think about anything else except pure animalistic survival! I’m also planning to revamp my hobby of knitting. One summer (yes you heard me right) everyone got hats, scarves and mittens! In an effort to rev up my night life I went out to a bar the other night to visit a friend of mine who bartends one night a week. By 1am I had ended up with a small circle of bee’s buzzing around me and I was the honey. At one point both a guy and girl were trying to take me home together. You heard me right they said the wanted to f%^& me. Feeling uncomfortable but not wanting to make a scene as they were both pretty wasted, I ended what I had initially thought was just a friendly chat pretty smoothly. Oh yeah, I’ve got the winter blues and no sunshine, woo woo woo.
I’m going to keep at it and hopefully find some sunshine to rain down on my dreary moody soul (yes I’m dramatic but so is life). Let me know what you’ve been doing to shake off the winter/recession/political/societal blues. You never know who else you might inspire

Sure I’ll believe the claim that there is no correlation between financial stability and good health.

ah the blues every one gets them every now and then some ppl get them more than other the doctors would have you take a pill for it i’m sure the problem is your paying to much attention but the simple things are the happy things a most of the time. now ill be the first to admit i handle the blues by losing my self in work in some shape r another probably not the healthiest why to go about it but it sure is the mos productive! if your busy getting stuff don you dot have time to sit back and think about how much it sucks. now you brought up and inserting topic when you mentioned the new as a rule i don,t watch the news any of it new like all other tv programming wants to get ratings bad new gets more ratings ppl often ask me do i think the world is getting worse or they just plain tell me “WALLY the world is getting worse!!!!” i tell them no tv the radio and the inter net are just getting better at telling us how much the world sucks.
    ignorance is bliss you know.
but for the stronger willed more open minded few of you there is a sure fire way to cheer you up indefinitely. you ever see those annoying ppl that seam to be happy all the time? pretend to be one of the round other ppl and your self eventually all that fake positive think will actually start getting to you an cheer you up! n it wont fix the economy or kick start universal health care it probably wont reduce crime aether(other than you punching the Starbucks clerk in the face) but it will get you threw the day an the next and the next. try it for a week juts pretend to be happy act like all the bad stuff is no big deal i for get who said it but “this to shale pass” is the quote that comes to mind. plus according to the Mayans we only got a little over to more years left before we all die you really want to spend it grumpy?

On 2012, well the less you have the less you have to lose right? I’m poor yeh!!

  • lol several of the feedback most people write make me giggle, again and again i ponder if they actually read the weblog posts and threads before writing a comment or whether they pretty much read over the title of the article and come up with the first thing that drifts into their heads. anyways, it is pleasurable to look over intelligent commentary every now and then compared to the exact same, traditional post vomit which i constantly observe on the web i’m going to take up a few rounds of facebook poker hasta la vista

  • Has anyone used this site before. It looks great and simple to use.

  • heya useful little website you got there :) I work with the exact theme on my website and yet for whatever nutty explanation it seems to load sooner on your blog although this blog features alot more multimedia. Have you been operating any specific plug ins or widgets which speed it up? Do you think you could display the programs so that I can use them in my own internet sites so twilight breaking dawn fans could watch twilight new moon online trailers and films more easily I’d personally be grateful – cheers ahead of time :)

  • Hey Jacob. I’m using several different widgets and plugins. I found a program that lets me create my own widgets. I’ll email you some of the names so you can find them. They work pretty well and don;t seem to slow my pages or uploads at all.

  • Good blog, some amusing details. I believe seven of days ago, I have viewed a similar article. Does anyone know how to track future posts?

I love seeing all the divers types of Decmber 21 12 theory, I think one redeeming thing that has come of all of this, even if nothing goes on is that it has opened our psyches to the possibility that we may not be here forever and that we need to cherish the lifetime we have.

WILLIAM WALLACE£º¡±Fight, and you may die. Run, and you¡¯ll live at least a while. And dying in your beds many years from now. Would you be willing to trade? All the days from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they¡¯ll never take our Freedom!
